A britânica Elizabeth Hurley está escalada para interpretar uma super vilã no esperado piloto de Wonder Woman, que está sendo produzido por David E. Kelly (Boston Public, Ally McBeal) para a NBC. Na nova série baseadas nos quadrinhos da DC Comics, Hurley viverá a arqui-inimiga de Diana, a co-fundadora de uma indústria farmacêutica Veronica Cole.
A atriz, que é conhecida por sua participação nos filmes de Austin Powers e por ter sido casada com Hugh Grant, nunca trabalhou em um papel regular em séries de televisão.
O projeto traz Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights) como a personagem título da série e Jeffrey Reiner (The Event) como diretor do episódio de estreia. Se escolhida, a série deverá preencher a grade da NBC no segundo semestre desse ano.
