O piloto da série foi um dos aprovados pela NBC nessa temporada. Ao lado de Chicago PD (spin-off da série de bombeiros Chicago Fire) e de Ironside, Undateable é uma das promessas do canal.

Undateable tem roteiro de Adam Sztykiel e é baseado no livro de Ellen Rakieten e Coyle Anne.
A série é considerada como uma comédia sobre Danny Bromantic (Chris D’Elia) e Justin (Brent Morin). Ambos são caras muito diferentes que estão “conectados” por sua incapacidade de atrair meninas.
No elenco estão Chris D’Elia, Brent Morin, Matthew Wilkas e Rick Glassman.
