O ator Billy Zane foi escalado para o piloto da série policial Finnegan, que está sendo desenvolvida pela ABC Studios. O seriado mostra o trabalho da unidade de combate ao crime organizado da polícia de Los Angeles.
Zane é conhecido por suas participações no premiado filme Titanic e no criticadíssimo O Fantasma. O ator tem ainda no currículo participações na séries Charmed, Boston Public e Twin Peaks.
Parte do charme de Finnegan promete estar em sua protagonista. No papel da chefe do esquadrão está a atriz Teri Polo (ex-I´m with Her e The West Wing).
