JoAnna Garcia (Better With You e Privileged) foi escolhida para substituir Amy Huberman como a protagonista de Animal Practice. Huberman foi substituída da nova comédia da NBC por razões criativas. O elenco também conta com Justin Kirk no papel do Dr. George Coleman, um veterinário que adora animais mas normalmente odeia seus donos. Animal Practice estreará na fall season americana.
A atriz, que foi vista pela última vez em Royal Pains, fará o papel de Dorothy, ex-namorada de George e diretora do hospital veterinário.
