A ABC decidiu não dar continuidade ao drama Black Box. A série, estrelada por Kelly Reilly, mostra a história de uma famosa neurologista (Dra. Elizabeth Black) que tem transtorno bipolar, mas o mantém em segredo.
Black Box foi planejada para ser uma minissérie com 13 episódios, a series finale foi exibida em 24 de julho. Desde sua estreia, em abril, o seriado não teve muito sucesso com o público e teve uma classificação de 1.5 no demo.
A série fazia parte da lista da ABC para a temporada 2013-2014. Destas, apenas Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Ressurection e The Goldbergs conseguiram uma 2ª temporada.
